Smart technology helps consumers hold onto their wallets

Friday, January 6, 2012

Singapore-based company Innova Technology has developed a smart card designed to help consumers hang onto their wallets, smart phones and other small items.

As reported on CNET, Innova’s “anti-Loss” product is a smart card that functions via Bluetooth. Users can put it with their wallet, purse or other similar small, valuable items.

The smart card connects to a smartp hone and uses an app to function. Users can set a maximum distance that the phone can be separated from the object containing the anti-Loss card. Once that distance is breached, an alarm goes off. The card is rechargeable through a USB connector.

Anti-Loss costs $30 and is for sale through IndieGoGo. After February, Innova will sell it directly through its website for $39.95.
