Cubic launches BlackBerry ticketing app for RMV

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Cubic Transportation Systems has delivered a new BlackBerry mobile ticketing app for Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund (RMV), the rail company servicing Frankfurt, Germany and its surrounding areas.

Already available on Android and iPhone, the Java-based app allows users to purchase tickets on RMV’s public transport system with just their mobile. Users need only register via the RMV Web site to purchase single tickets, day tickets and group day tickets for adults. Predefined routes can be saved to ‘Favorites’ to speed up purchases and transactions are filed in a ‘Ticketsaver’ folder for repeat purchases.

The mobile ticketing app also provides access to a real-time information timetable and a tool to track GPS positions and the next available stop, according to Cubic.

The free RMV app can now be downloaded from the BlackBerry App World Web site[end]
