Vodafone has announced that it will soon offer the NFC-enabled Nexus S handsets in 24 countries.
Designed by Google and manufactured by Samsung, the Nexus S is the world’s first handset to be powered by the Android 2.3 platform. It features a 4-inch display, 1GHz processor, 5MP camera with HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and, of course, a built-in NFC chip.
Vodafone says it will offer both the white an black versions of the handset, but with a Super Clear LCD screen instead of the standard Super AMOLED screen.
Based in London, Vodafone boasts approximately 358 million customers, making it one of the world’s largest telecoms. The company’s controlled and jointly controlled market spans some 70 countries, and it has yet to reveal where and when the new handset will be launched.
