NFC Forum announces webcast for Global Competition

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

The NFC Forum is inviting NFC developers and researchers to watch a special webcast for this year’s NFC Forums Global Competition.

Competition organizers and previous prize winner Michael Elliott will be on hand to discuss the details of the contest: how to enter; how the process works; what the judges are looking for and what winning the competition can do for your organization.

The webcast will also feature NFC Forum’s scoop on what makes a competition entry the “Best NFC Service of the Year” or “The Most Innovative NFC Research Project of the Year.”

The entry deadline for the Global Competition is February 19, 2010.

The NFC Forum, begun in 2004, is a non-profit association of 140 companies whose mission is to advance the use of NFC technology by developing specifications, ensuring interoperability among devices and services and educating the market about NFC. [end]

Mobey Forum says it is also “essential” for banks to collaborate with other stakeholders to understand and define their role in the ecosystem.
